Psalm 139 is a song David sang about God. David says God knows him completely. God knows when he sits down and when he stands up. God knows his words before he even says them.
Then David says something surprising. He does not say, "I am fine." He says, "I am fearfully and wonderfully made." That means God made David carefully, on purpose, with love. And David praises God for it.
The psalm does not tell us if David's hair was curly or straight. But David knew this: God made him, and God's work is wonderful.
God made you too. Your laugh, your voice, your hair. God did not make a mistake. You are not a copy of anyone else.
Today, look in the mirror. Say out loud, "God made me and God loves me." Say it slowly. Say it again.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Today's Story
✍️Fictitious Story
Ananya sat on the floor with a clean piece of cardboard from Papa. She drew a picture of herself.
First the face. Then the hair. She made loop after loop with her brown crayon. Her hair was curly and puffy. It would not lie flat.
Amma came and looked over her shoulder. "That is a lot of curls," she said.
"Emma's hair is straight," Ananya said. "Mine goes everywhere."
Amma smiled and touched Ananya's hair. "It does."
Ananya picked up her crayon again. She drew more loops, big ones, all the way to the edge of the cardboard. Then she wrote her name at the bottom in blue.
"This is me," she said. "God made my hair curly."
Reflection
Think About It
• What is one thing about you that is different from your friends? • Do you think God made that part on purpose?
Prayer
God, You made me wonderfully. God, You made me on purpose. God, You love me. When I look in the mirror, help me say it out loud: God made me and God loves me. I believe it. Amen.
Live It Out
Look in the mirror today and say, "God made me and God loves me." Say it slowly. Say it twice.
